Meet Dr. Danica Lucyshyn
DVM, Practice Limited to Diseases of the Animal Eye
Dr. Danica Lucyshyn is originally from Saskatchewan where she obtained her DVM degree from the Western College of Veterinary Medicine (WCVM) in 2018. After graduation, she completed a small animal rotating internship in Toronto, ON, followed by a comparative ophthalmology research fellowship at the University of California-Davis. In 2020, she returned to the WCVM where she completed an ophthalmology internship.
Dr. Lucyshyn was then accepted in a highly competitive 3-year residency in comparative ophthalmology at Cornell University which she will complete in 2024. She is very excited to move back to Canada and join the Coastal Care team in Halifax! Dr. Lucyshyn enjoys a variety of outdoor activities and spending time with her two adopted pets: a rambunctious, tortoiseshell cat named Mazie and an energetic dog named Newt.
